A brand new ‘Enca’ is coming real soon.
‘Encantadiks,’ the fans of the GMA telefantasya ‘Encantadia,’ who were at the Manila Pop Convention in Parañaque were treated to a surprise last Saturday.
Tne first official teaser for the upcoming spin-off sequel of ‘Encantadia (2016)’ was released at the said event.
The minute-long trailer featured the four new keepers of the gems in the realm unleashing their powers.
Bianca Umali takes the lead in the series as Sang’gre Terra. She is the lost Sang’gre of Encantadia and will be the assigned keeper of the Earth gem (Brilyante ng Lupa).
Second is Adamus, portrayed by Kelvin Miranda, who is the first male Sang’gre to be designated as the keeper of the Water gem (Brilyante ng Tubig).
Next is Flamarra, a character to be played by Faith da Silva. She is the second daughter of Pirena and will be the new keeper of the Fire gem (Brilyante ng Apoy).
Finally, the Air gem (Brilyante ng Hangin) will be in the hands of Deia, whose complete character background has yet to be revealed. Angel Guardian has been casted for the character.
The following day, on Sunday, the said teaser made its TV premiere via ‘All Out Sundays’.
Apart from the four keepers, ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ has confirmed that Glaiza de Castro will reprise her role as Pirena. Other previous major cast members in the 2016 series are also said to be joining the series.
The new additions include the wicked ice queen that is Kera Mitena, who will be portrayed by Rhian Ramos. She is also the twin sister of Cassiopeia, played by Solenn Heussaff in the 2016 series.
Ricky Davao, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan, Bianca Manalo, Luis Hontiveros, among others, are also part of the upcoming spin-off/sequel.
Last week, it was also reported by GMA Integrated News that the filming for the series had already commenced.
‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ is set to be the banner fantasy series of GMA in 2024. Its airing date has yet to be made known.
