In a post uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared snaps from her reunion with Ariadna Gutierrez, who represented Colombia that year.
The said photos were cross-posted on their accounts, along with the caption “The reunion that you have all been waiting for,” and a wink emoji at the end of it.
Within an hour of its upload, the slide has garnered more than a 100 thousand likes on the platform. Comments are also generally positive, with many raving after seeing the both of them getting along after 8 years.
Back in 2015, both Pia and Ariadna were caught in the middle of a controversy as during the coronation night, host Steve Harvey mistakenly proclaimed Ariadna from Colombia as the winner, with Pia from the Philippines as first runner-up.
Minutes later after the crown was put on Miss Colombia’s head, Harvey apologized for the mix-up and declared Miss Philippines as the winner of the 64th edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
