Actors Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque happily shared on Instagram some snaps from Roque’s marriage proposal to Alonzo yesterday, July 18 in Las Casas. In the caption, Bea shared that the proposal was a surprise. Saying that she “was there for a shoot.” But little did she know, she said, “the next that would happen would change our [Bea and Dominic] lives forever.”
She went on to detail that in the middle of the supposed pictorial shoot, photographer Marc Nicdao kept on asking her “to turn around to shoot the back side of the dress,” which Bea said she “found odd.” When she did turn, she then found Dominic “kneeling with a box in his hand.”
Bea also can’t help but realize that while she had done many proposal scenes in the past, “nothing beats the real thing” and that she had “been doing it all wrong.” Describing that the “time stood still” when Dominic was giving his speech for her. “Everything went in slow motion” and that she “felt different emotions all at the same time — joh, excitement, love.”
The actress said that she then bawled, but “didn’t want that moment to end.” To cap her story, Alonzo stated that “in front of the people we love… we decided on forerver.”
Bea and Dominic started dating in January 2021, and later confirmed their relationship in August 2021.
