As the security situation remains to be tense in the region.
In their respective advisories on Thursday, March 5, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) and budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced the cancelation of more flights amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In the 12:30 pm advisory of PAL, it said that it has decided to not oush through with the flights in the interest of ensuring the safety of its passengers, crew, and ground personnel.
Confirmed to no longer proceeding are flights PR 685 (Doha-Manila), PR 685 (Manila-Doha), PR 658-658 (Manila-Dubai-Manila), and PR 654/655 (Manila-Riyadh-Manila) on March 5.
Meanwhile, the PR 684/685 service has also been canceled until Sunday, March 8, with the inbound flight PR 685 on Monday, March 9, canceled.
Scheduled PR 654/655 flights on March 6 and March 8 and PR654/655 on March 7 and March 8 have also been been canceled.

Affected passengers are told that they may avail of rebooking or refund options in accordance with PAL policies..
“Passengers are also advised to check on their flight status and the latest flight advisories via the PAL website, mobile app or official social media channels before proceeding to the airport,” directed PAL as it reiterated that safety remains its highest priority.
Over to Cebu Pacific, as of Thursday at 2:00 pm, it has decided to no longer proceed with its planned flights to and from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“The safety and well-being of our passengers, crew, and ground team remain our highest priority. We continue to closely monitor developments and assess flight operations in the region,”said the airlie.
It also said that it is offering flexible options, including free rebooking and Travel Fund conversion, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh scheduled until March 16, 2026.
They may avail themselves of these options through the Manage Booking portal of the CEB website up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.
“CEB will continue to assess its flight operations to and from the Middle East. As this remains a developing situation, further schedule adjustments may be necessary,” added Cebu Pacific.
