SA WAKAS!
After months of uncertainty regarding the local coverage of the games, there will finally be a local broadcaster for the FIFA Women’s World Cup this year.
This, as Cignal announced today that its One Sports channel on free and pay television, as well as the new Pilipinas Live over-the-top platform, will both serve as the local broadcast outlets of the FIFA WWC.
The coverage of the said games is important as this would mark the very first time that our national women’s football team will compete at the World Cup since the team was formed four decades ago.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup is set to begin on July 20 and will be held in Australia and New Zealand.
