(JUNE 5, 2023) – President Marcos has appointed Dr. Teodoro Herbosa as the country’s new Secretary of Health. Prior to Herbosa’s appointment, the position sat vacant for almost a year under the current admin. The DOH, in the interim, was handled by Undersecretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire, who served as the officer-in-charge.
Lawyer Gilberto ‘Gibo’ Teodoro, Jr. was also appointed as the Secretary of the Department of National Defense. Teodoro had also served as the Secretary of Defense in the past, under former President Arroyo, from 2007 to 2009.
