Major cable news shake-up in the United States.
First of, Fox News has announced the departure of its popular primetime host Tucker Carlson from the network. In a statement released on Monday, the network said that the April 21st edition of his show ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ was the last episode.
A program titled ‘Fox News Tonight’ to replace the 8:00 pm slot hosted by rotating anchors will be aired in the interim until a new permanent host is assigned.
Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.
Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8pm/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named.

Carlson joined Fox’s primetime line-up in 2016 after previously working for three years at MSNBC from 2005-2008, and co-hosting Fox & Friends Weekend from 2012-2016.
Over at CNN, Don Lemon has parted ways with the network after 17 years. In a statement on Twitter, Lemon said that he “was informed this [Monday] morning… that I have been terminated by CNN.” He also said that he was not told by someone from the management about his termination. Towards the end of it, he thanked his colleagues at CNN.
CNN has also released a statement confirming’s Don Lemon’s exit from the network and thanking him for his contributions. They have, however, refuted his words that he was not informed by the honchos, saying “he [Don Lemon] was offered to meet with [CNN] management, but instead released a statement on Twitter.”
Prior to his departure, he was one of the main hosts of CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. CNN has yet to name a personality that will replace him in the said role.
