Guide to the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival

This year, Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, and Nadine Lustre, among others, will headline movies in the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival.

In the upcoming edition of the MMFF, a lot of the traditions from past festivals are back. Foremost, the number of cinemas have been increased from last year, which essentially brings a semblance of normalcy amidst the pandemic. Theaters are now also allowed to accommodate full capacity.

The floats are also back for this edition, moving back from the fluvial parade of last year. The route for the Float Parade (officially known as the Parade of Stars), which will happen on December 21, will be from Welcome Rotonda to the Quezon Memorial Circle, via Quezon Avenue, in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the awards night for the 48th edition will take place at the New Frontier Theater on December 27.

With all of that out of the way, it’s time now to check out the entries for MMFF 2022 and their official trailers.
