The primetime gameplan for the two media giants will change.
Beginning August 30, ABS-CBN and GMA will have some adjustments to their respective line-ups every weeknight.
First up, GMA. The Kapuso network’s Telebabad block saw the temporary end of The World Between Us on Friday evening. According to the network, TWBU starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Alden Richards is currently on a season break and is set to return on November 15.
Replacing TWBU at the 8:00pm slot will be Legal Wives, which was promoted from the second slot. Apart from moving to a new timeslot, LW will also be simultaneously aired over at GTV, the second Telebabad series to do so since the secondary channel’s relaunch last February. Its simulcast on the Heart of Asia channel remains intact.
Likewise, the rerun of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera’s 2010 adaptation of Endless Love will be placed back on the second slot at 8:50pm. Meanwhile, as a result of Legal Wives’ simulcast at 8:00, GTV’s G Flicks will also be bumped off to 8:50pm.
Lastly for Telebabad, the Korean makjang drama The Penthouse is back with a second season. The Penthouse II will air weeknights at 9:35pm, right before The Sand Princess — which remains at 10:20pm.
Over at GTV, State of the Nation will be aired right after G Flicks still at 10:20pm. However, the rebroadcast of Innocent Defendant previously aired at 9:55pm is now moving to 2:00pm. Subsequently, In Time With You will now be at 2:30pm, with La Doña sliding to 3:30pm.
Here’s how the Kapuso network’s Telebabad block will look like.
- 8:00pm – Legal Wives (simulcast on GTV, Heart of Asia)
- 8:50pm – Endless Love (simulcast on Heart of Asia)
- 9:35pm – The Penthouse II
- 10:20pm – The Sand Princess
Meanwhile, GTV’s schedule will be like this beginning Monday from 2:00pm.
- 2:00pm – Innocent Defendant
- 2:30pm – In Time With You
- 3:30pm – La Doña
- 4:00pm – Afternoon Movie Break
- 6:00pm – Sarap O’Clock block
- 6:30pm – 24 Oras (simulcast on GMA)
- 8:00pm – Legal Wives (simulcast on GMA, Heart of Asia)
- 8:50pm – G Flicks
- 10:20pm – State of the Nation
Now, let’s move over to ABS-CBN (platforms).
The Kapamilya primetime lineup will have slight modifications on their timeslots come Monday. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano will still air at the 8:00pm time slot, albeit now extended by 5 minutes to end at 8:45pm. The program also recently added Julia Montes, among other new cast members, signifying the start of a new chapter in the Coco Martin-led series. FPJAP still airs on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, and TV5.
Following that is still Huwag Kang Mangamba, which will now air at 8:45pm. HKM airs via KC, KOL, Jeepney TV, A2Z, and TV5.
Now down to its last two weeks, Init sa Magdamag will heat up the third slot which will now be at 9:25pm. ISM also airs on the same platforms as Huwag Kang Mangamba.
And for the final slot of ABS-CBN’s primetime offerings is still La Vida Lena. The Erich Gonzales-starrer will now air weeknights at 10:05pm. Aside from that, Jeepney TV will now begin simulcasting the said program.
Side note, to accommodate LVL’s simulcast on Jeepney TV, the channel will scrap It’s Showtime’s repeat telecast at 10pm. Instead, JTV will hook-up with the noontime broadcast of It’s Showtime at 12:00nn — similar to the previous setup during the launching month of Kapamilya Channel in June 2020.
Here’s the primetime grid of ABS-CBN Entertainment starting Monday. All are available on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, and TV5.
- 8:00pm – FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (also on CineMo!)
- 8:45pm – Huwag Kang Mangamba (also on Jeepney TV)
- 9:25pm – Init sa Magdamag (also on Jeepney TV)
- 10:05pm – La Vida Lena (now available on Jeepney TV)
All the changes listed above were announced beforehand. Thus, those are still subject to change without any prior notice.
