DOH confirms 2 cases of B.1.617 variant of SARS-CoV 2; both patients have since recovered
The Philippines’ Department of Health confirmed the detection of the B.1.617 variant of the COVID-19 virus (SARS-CoV 2) in the country, Tuesday morning.
According to the Health dept., one was an OFW from Oman, while the other was from UAE. They have since quarantined the close contacts of both individuals. The 2 patients have also since recovered from the virus.
Philippines’ economy shrinks by 4.2% during Q1 2021
The Philippines has reported today that the country’s economy has shrunk yet again for the 5th straight quarter as a 4.2% contraction was recorded in the first quarter of 2021.
