The ABS-CBN family is growing once again.
Earlier today, April 30, ABS-CBN Entertainment and Dreamscape Entertainment shared a video clip for its upcoming series “Marry Me, Marry You”. Among the confirmed cast members for the drama are Edu Manzanao, Vina Morales, Cherry Pie Picache, Janine Gutierrez, and Paulo Avelino. The same video also served as the formal introduction of former Kapuso actress Sunshine Dizon as the newest Kapamilya.
Dizon, who was recently seen on the GMA Afternoon drama “Magkaagaw”, was also formally inducted with a special media conference this afternoon. In the same event, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes also welcomed Sunshine in Mother Ignacia.
Prior to the announcement today, the news om her pending transfer first broke earlier this month on PEP.ph. In the said article, it was said that GMA Network did not renew Dizon’s contract, effectively making her as a freelance talent by that time.
During her 25-year-tenure with the Kapuso network, Dizon breathe life into characters like Rosa Montemayor of Kung Mawawala Ka, Bakekang of Carlo J. Caparas’ Bakekang, Emma of Ika-6 na Utos, and the original Sang’gre Pirena of Encantadia 2005 and Adhara for the fantasy series’ requel in 2016.
