The most beautiful day in the universe is still on ABS-CBN.
On April 15, 2021, ABS-CBN announced that they would still be, indeed, the official coveror and Philippine broadcast partner of Miss Universe 2020. MU was consistently aired by ABS-CBN in the country from 2007 until 2020. However, due to the shutdown, the event will be screened by the conglomerate elsewhere.
For the live broadcast of the pageant, A2Z Channel 11 will be utilized. The coronation night, which is set to happen in Florida, USA, will be aired live by A2Z on May 17, 2021 starting at 8am. A repeat telecast will also be provided by the channel at 10:00pm.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya Channel on cable and satellite TV will be airing another replay via Sunday’s Best on May 23, 2021 at 9:45pm. Metro Channel will also broadcast repeats on May 24 at 12nn, May 26 at 5pm, and May 29 at 8:30am. Streaming on iWantTFC will also be available beginning May 23 at 9:45pm.
According to ABS-CBN, the broadcast was possible due to their partnership with IMG, the owner of the Miss Universe franchise.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo would be representing the country in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
