CNN Philippines has temporarily stopped broadcasting on television at around 5 o’clock this afternoon.
On July 7, 2020, CNN Philippines announced that they will temporarily stop broadcasting on television as one of their utility staff tested positive for COVID-19. As a precautionary measure, the CNNPH headquarters will be disinfected throughout the closure period that will last for a few days. The news teams will, however, continue providing news on their social media accounts.
This is the second time that the news channel was forced to close down, with the first one being in March after an employee in WCC Mandaluyong (where the network’s HQ is located) contracted the coronavirus.
