Almost two months since he was last seen on the program.

In new plugs aired on GMA Network on Saturday, November 7, it confirmed that Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is making his return to the top-rating game show Family Feud in the forthcoming week.

The actor, who has helmed the franchise since its return to the country in March 2022, is returning with back-to-back special episodes that will feature his fellow cast members in the movie Remember and the ongoing primetime action series The Master Cutter.

In the first one, which will air on November 12 (Thursday), his wife and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, is seen telling him how much he had been missed by viewers during his absence from the program.

Also appearing as guest players in the said episode are the likes of Joross Gamboa, Kyle Echarri, and Ana Abad-Santos.

Meanwhile, in the second one, which will broadcast on November 13 (Friday), the likes of Max Collins, Benjie Paras, and KC Montero are joining as players.

But before these episodes, current interim host Michael V. will also be given a special episode of his own on November 11 (Wednesday), with his own family, led by wife Carol Bunagan, playing.

Last September, Dantes decided to take a break from hosting the weekday game show to concentrate on The Master Cutter, which was extended for a second season that will run until 2027.

“Dahil po sa walang sawa niyo pong pagtangkilik sa The Master Cutter at dahil kailangan kong tutukan ang mga paparating na taping ng programa para lalo pa po itong mapaganda, pansamantala po akong magpapahinga bilang host ng Family Feud,” he said.

This paved the way to Michael V’s return to hosting game shows, which he last did through a guest participation in Wowowin in 2021. Prior to that, he also hosted the likes of Lip Sync Battle Philippines, Killer Karaoke: Pinoy Naman, Hole In The Wall, and more.

After his stint in Family Feud, the “Comedy Genius” will continue to be seen on the country’s longest-running sitcom Pepito Manaloto and the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang.

Family Feud airs from Monday to Friday at 5:35 pm on GMA Network.
