It is a song that celebrates the start of the Philippines’ hosting journey under its current chairship.
On Saturday, October 31, the Department of Tourism (DOT) unveiled a new song featuring Tourism Ambassadors and the one-and-only Nation’s Girl Group of P-pop, BINI.
Entitled Sama-Sama Tayo, the song is composed by Ejay Yatco, Paw Castillo, & Moophs, and was created tonpay tribute to the 48th Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits, which happened in in Cebu back in May.
The DOT noted that the event is a “milestone that marked the beginning of our (Philippines’) Chairship journey and set the stage for a year of meaningful connections, shared experiences, and a stronger ASEAN community.”
Emphasizing the message of ASEAN being one region with one shared future, the track encourages in the upbeat song to continue crossing the seas together and sail as one.
Its release also comes weeks before the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Manila, which will happen from November 16 to 18, 2026.
Several ASEAN-related meetings will happen in Metro Manila such as the 16th ASEAN Maritime Forum on November 17 and the 14th Expanded ASEAN Maritime Forum on November 18.
Among the venues confirmed for this summit are the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and the recently reopened Coconut Palace in Pasay City.
Under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the Philippines’ hosting affirms its commitment to leading ASEAN with unity, clarity, and purpose.
“It is a call to steer our region toward greater resilience, deeper connection, and meaningful change that places our people at the center of progress,” it added.
Moreover, the Chairship also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
P-pop Kings SB19, who are the fellow Tourism Ambassadors of BINI, sang the official theme song for the 49th edition entitled Together In Motion.
