Sustaining its own growth pattern the year prior.
According to the Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), its subsidiary grilled chicken chain Mang inasal has posted double-digit systemwide sales growth in the first half of 2026.
Mang Inasal was said to have recorded 13.2% growth in the first six months of the year, which builds upon the 15.6% systemwide sales growth in 2025.
JFC also disclosed that the off-premise business segment, that includes takeout, delivery, and drive-thru, also grew at a higher double-digit rate in the same period.
“The performance reflected broader customer access beyond dine-in, supported by takeout, drive-thru, delivery, and digital ordering, as well as consistent store execution across the network,” it reported.
The company also said that this performance also showed “continued consumer demand for Filipino grilled food and the brand’s strong position in the Philippine restaurant sector.”
Within the group’s portfolio of brands, the role of Mang Inasal was also highlighted for its high consumer demand, nationwide reach, and disciplined store execution.
“For consumers, the brand brings familiar Filipino grilled flavors into a quick-service restaurant format, making dishes that typically require outdoor grilling, longer preparation, and more hands-on cooking more convenient, accessible, and value-oriented,” JFC said.
Meanwhile, for his part, Mike Castro, President of Mang Inasal, highlighted that the brand’s proposition is built around grilled food that Filipino consumers know and enjoy, made more accessible through restaurant, off-premise, and digital channels.
“Our growth was driven primarily by our Ihaw-Sarap (deliciously grilled) Chicken Inasal and Juicy-lambot (tender) Pork BBQ. We also continue to expand how customers enjoy Mang Inasal while introducing menu innovations that respond to changing tastes,” he told in a statement.
Outside expansion, Mang Inasal also continues to strengthen the operating systems behind its more than 600-store network, which include its marination and grilling processes, to help support consistent quality across channels and maintain the experience across the network.
Mang Inasal’s sustained growth has continued to attract interest from prospective franchisees and they are continuing to welcome qualified franchise partners who share the brand’s commitment to “operational excellence, food quality, and a consistent customer experience.”
“Mang Inasal’s performance shows the strength of Jollibee Group’s homegrown brands and the long runway for growth in the Philippine market,” stressed Joseph Tanbuntiong, CEO of Jollibee Group Philippines and Global Jollibee Brand Head.
He added, “With the Group’s support in operations, supply chain, quality systems, and franchise development, Mang Inasal is well-positioned to strengthen its nationwide presence and long-term contribution to the Group while maintaining the grilled flavors, quality, and dining experience customers expect from the brand.”
Recently, Brand Finance’s Philippines 50 2026 report also included Mang Inasal as the strongest quick-service restaurant brand in the Philippines, with a Brand Strength Index score of 95.2 out of 100 and an AAA+ rating.
