She leads the company as its interim chief.
Recently, Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko launched their latest Christmas collection under the “Making Christmas Brighter Together” campaign.
Spearheading this new activity is Kimberly Mulligan, who brings a wealth of hands-on retail leadership to her role as Interim Country Manager of Anko Philippines.
Asked about the idea behind Anko’s festive campaign this year, she noted: “Christmas comes alive in the little moments we share, from arranging the table and hanging ornaments on the tree to picking out the perfect present for someone special.”
She furthered, “With the Making Christmas Brighter Together campaign, Anko is making sure every part of that journey is easy, enjoyable, and affordable.”
For Kim, they have decided to support families through the whole journey.
“The campaign started in September, when families begin preparing together, so we put our festive color items and subtle holiday finds at the forefront, with everyday home decor in reds, greens, whites, and golds that start creating a Christmas feeling. By this October, we’ve officially launched the Christmas collection as families refresh their homes with more festive finds and make the space together,” she said.
Furthermore, she also expressed what will be in store for customers in the coming months and noted: “After decorating the home, gifting comes next, usually in November, with new toys and beauty finds arriving alongside our year-round products across decor, kitchen, bedrooms, and more—perfect for thoughtful gifts for all their loved ones.”
Meanwhile, in December, as families prepare to host visitors and add the finishing touches, Mulligan revealed that they will have the “perfect last-minute party and gifting finds so everyone can celebrate together.”
In line with this, Anko also launched the Christmas Personality Quiz. According to the interim country manager, it was to make finding the right gifts a little easier.
“It helps you discover what kind of gifter you are, whether you’re a crafty creative who loves making things personal, a joy-bringer who loves spreading cheer, or a trendsetter who’s always on the lookout for something unique,” she listed the personalities.
Mulligan added, “Based on your personality, Anko recommends the products that fit how you like to show your appreciation, so choosing gifts becomes much easier. You can already take the quiz on the Anko Club app, so you’re prepared when you go Christmas shopping.”
For Anko Club members, they have also set up different promotional activities such as the Christmas Shopping Spree, a gifting event, workshops, and Santa visits in November.
On her experience meeting these Anko Club members, Kim pointed out that it is one of the “most rewarding parts” of her job as interim country chief.
“One of the most rewarding parts of leading Anko in the Philippines has been getting to know our customers and Anko Club members in person,” she noted. “I’ve been incredibly touched by the warmth, kindness and hospitality of the people I’ve met, and by how generously they share their stories with us.”
Mulligan also noted that it will be her first time to celebrate Christmas in the Philippines.
“This will be my first Christmas living in the Philippines, which makes this season especially meaningful. As a New Zealander, I see many similarities in how both cultures value family, community and making people feel welcome. I’m looking forward to experiencing Filipino Christmas traditions firsthand and celebrating alongside our customers, team members and Anko Club members,” she shared.
“It’s been wonderful to see how warmly Anko has been embraced, and I’m excited to continue building meaningful connections with Filipino families as we grow across the country.”
Good news for more Southies as Kim also confirmed that a new store is going to be added to their growing network in the country very soon.
“Our store network is growing this Christmas. Ayala Malls Nuvali is next, and it will be our first Anko outside Metro Manila,” she disclosed. “We also have two more locations on the way, so more families will have an Anko close to home for every stage of the season, from styling to gifting to celebrating.”
Details regarding that, she said, will be noted on their social media pages and website.
