On Friday, October 23, Blackpink member Lisa dropped her latest solo mini-album entitled Press Play.
Featured as the lead single of the said EP is Tarantino, which had its music video unveiled on the same day.
As of this writing, the clip that runs for three minutes and 37 seconds, has been viewed more than 19 million views on YouTube.
Also included in the track list is SaWaDiKa, which was issued as a pre-release single last September.
Lisa debuted in 2016 as part of the third-generation K-pop group Blackpink, along with fellow members Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo.
They became well-known in their home country and abroad, thanks to their successive hit songs Whistle, Boombayah, Playing with Fire, As If It’s Your Last, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, Pink Venom, and I , among many others.
The Thai K-pop star then launched her solo career in 2021, releasing hit songs Money and the namesake single of her debut extended play, Lalisa.
In 2024, she formally established her own agency LLOUD and through which she dropped the singles Rockstar, New Woman, and Moonlit Floor. That eventually culminated with the release of the album Alter Ego in early 2025.
She would also make her way to acting and launching it through her role as Mook in The White Lotus Season 3. She is also confirmed to star in Netflix’s Tygo, an untitled Notting Hill-inspired rom-com film.
Later in the year, she will also be the first K-pop artist to hold a Las Vegas residency, with her four-show VIVA LA LISA run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this November.
