What was just a simple meet-up for her turned out to be a special event to celebrate her newest life milestone.
In a social media post on Monday, October 19, actress Glaiza De Castro shared a sweet surprise that she received from her best friend, actress Angelica Panganiban, and singer Kean Cipriano.
She revealed in the post that they had planned to go on a get-together at a studio in Quezon City. “Huling pagkikita-kita naming tatlo inabot na kami ng madaling araw, kaya inisip ko isa na naman tong mahabang gabi,” the Kapuso star furthered.
But, to her shock, that was an invitation to a baby shower prepared for her, who is expecting her first child with husband David Rainey.
“Wala akong kamalay malay sa mga planong binubuo ng mga kaibigan ko, pero ito ang isa sa pinakamasayang tambay na ginawa namin,” she wrote.
Glaiza continued, “Nasabi ko kay Lord na grabe siya sa mga taong binibigay niya sa akin. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang pagmamahal, at hindi lang ito dahil sa hormones. Nasubok na ‘to ng matagal na taon. Na-witness na namin ang mga iba’t ibang chapters ng buhay, at hanggang ngayon andito parin sila.”
She then expressed her gratitude to her close friends for organizing the said event, as well as to all who attended the party dedicated to “Baby Rainey.”
“Maraming maraming salamat Amigah sa pagiging pasimuno ng ganap na to, salamat Amigo sa lugar at lahat ng mga pumunta, masayang masaya rin si Baby Rainey dahil ramdam niya ang kaligayahan ng nanay niya. Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat,” she concluded her post.
It was back in October 2021 when Glaiza and David tied the knot through an intimate ceremony held in Ireland. After that, the couple affirmed their love for one another through a ceremony held in Zambales in 2023.
Just the week prior to this publication, the pair marked their fifth wedding anniversary.
