It will be their first on-screen team-up.
On Monday, October 12, ABS-CBN’s film production company Star Cinema unveiled the teaser of the upcoming movie entitled The Greatest Showdown, which is its collaboration with ABS-CBN Studios, The Idea First Company, MZet Productions, and APT Entertainment.
In the said project, noontime stalwarts Vic Sotto from Eat Bulaga and Vice Ganda of It’s Showtime are collaborating for the comedy movie event of the year.
At helm of this partnership is critically-acclaimed director Jun Robles Lana, who will be marking his third consecutive year of doing films with Meme Vice, while it will be his first with Bossing Vic.
In the teaser, viewers get a glimpse of the intense rivalry between their characters, who will live together under one roof.
During the project’s announcement, Vice shared that it will be a “hardcore comedy” movie, noting: “Walang kaseryosohang proyekto. Ang seryoso lang at tawa at halakhak nating lahat.”
“Pero, bukod sa tawa’t halakhak, nasisiguro namin na marami kayong mapupulot na aral,” Vic assured the public.
Vice also teased that the project pertains to something that happens in a normal neighborhood. “Kaya kapag napanood n’yo ang pelikulang ito, masasabi n’yong sumasalamin ito sa buhay natin,” she added.
Meanwhile, also seen in the teaser are other personalities who will bring additional flavor to the story, such as Jose Manalo, Iyah Minah, Ruby Ruiz, Klarisse de Guzman, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Brent Manalo, JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith.
The Greatest Showdown is one of the eight entries to the 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival, which will screen in theaters nationwide starting December 25, 2026.
