Capping what has been a weekend of international pageants in Thailand.
On Sunday, October 11, Filipina beauty queen and reigjining Miss Global Philippines 2026 Jayvee Lorejo competed at the Miss Global 2026 competition held in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
A total of 74 queens from all over the world participated for the chance of being passed the crown by Vietnamese queen Nguyễn Đình Như Vân, who is Miss Global 2025.
Lorejo, who hails from Davao, was able to meet the cut in the semifinals, which saw the contest down to just the Top 25. She would eventually continue onto the Top 12, then into the Top 5.
In the question-and-answer round, she expressed that she knows her purpose upon joining the pageant.
“Joining here in Miss Global, I know my purpose, and that is to be a leader… who can speak and also know how to listen. ‘Cause a true leader knows when to have their citizens be heard, and a true leader is someone who has the heart to serve its people,” she said.
“And that, I think, is a true Miss Global. ‘Cause when we empower one another, we empower the global nation. Thank you and maraming salamat!” added the Filipina beauty queen.
In the end, she was named third runner-up of the pageant and was bestowed the continental title of Miss Global Asia & Oceania 2026.
