She had a good run in the pageant.
On Saturday, October 10, Filipina beauty queen Angelica Lopez returned to the Miss Grand International stage in Bangkok, Thailand as she competed in the finale event of the pageant.
This edition saw 79 queens from all around the world go for the crown, with Lopez having a special mission of pulling off the unprecedented feat of getting the title for a third consecutive time.
During the evening, she showed a strong performance by participating in different rounds of the contest, such as the final swimsuit round.
However, Angelica was later not able to meet the cut when the top 11 delegates were later announced—marking the end of her journey.
Nonetheless, she showed a strong performance when she got the Best in National Costume award for her Ang Mangkukulam attire, which paid tribute to the stories that ‘shaped the country’s collective imagination, traditions passed down through generations, and the powerful spirit woven into Filipino heritage.’
She also entered the top 5 of the fan vote category.
Angelica Lopez is no stranger to competing on the international stage. She won Binibining Pilipinas-International 2023 and was declared a semifinalist in Miss International 2024.
At the inaugural Reina Filipinas pageant last August, where she was got the Miss Grand Philippines national title, the Palawan beauty queen also bagged the Best in Swimsuit, Reina Pasarela, and Reina Urban Smiles awards.
Meanwhile, in Miss Grand International’s history, the country has two titles—with CJ Opiaza reigning as the 2024 title holders, followed immediately by Emma Mary Tiglao.
