With Kapatid viewers witnessing some of the iconic program’s past episodes throughout its more than three-decade-long run.
Beginning this Saturday, October 10, ABS-CBN will be shaking up its weekend programming lineup following the conclusion of the recent season of the community game show Everybody, Sing, hosted by Vice Ganda.
Across all Kapamilya platforms, it was already confirmed that the reruns of the Asia’s longest-running drama anthology program, Maalaala Mo Kaya, (under the title MMK: Hugot From The Vault) will move to the vacated 8:30 pm time slot.
This move has also effectively spelled the show’s addition to TV5’s programming lineup, as the Kapatid nrtwork also aired Everybody, Sing on its platforms.
It will also mark the first time that TV5 will air the show, presented by Charo Santos-Concio, throughout its more than five-year-long partnership with ABS-CBN.
In fact, during the early years of their partnership, MMK was still airing fresh episodes, ended its run briefly in November 2022, and eventually returned in April 2025. Throughout that period, the show remained exclusive to ABS-CBN platforms, A2Z, and ALLTV.
Maalaala Mo Kaya will also go back-to-back with Kapamilya Deal or No Deal with Luis Manzano to create a two-hour evening block on TV5 and the the rest of the channels every weekend from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
The addition of MMK is also part of the re-expanding partnership between ABS-CBN and TV5, which started with Coco Martin’s Sigabo in June, followed by Face To Face With Ate Koring, Someone, Someday, My Bespren Emman, A Secret In Prague, and the upcoming series Mommy Guard that will begin airing this October.
