A perfect fit as they are currently one of the country’s leading music acts.
On Saturday, October 3, the Department of Tourism (DOT) published the music video for the brand new single recorded by Filipino pop boy band SB19.
Hailed as the P-pop Kings, the quintet comprising Josh, Stell, Pablo, Ken (Felip), and Justin, performed the song entitled Tomorrow In Motion, which is the official theme song of the upcoming Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits in Manila.
The track was composed by Anya Lagman and arranged by Jimmy Antiporda and Louie Ocampo.
The release of the new song comes days after the band was given recognition by the Senate for their historic performance at the Lollapalooza Festival last July, where they became the first homegrown Filipino act to perform.
Meanwhile, under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the Philippines serves as this year’s chair of the ASEAN.
As host, the country also said that it affirms its commitment to leading ASEAN with unity, clarity, and purpose.
“It is a call to steer our region toward greater resilience, deeper connection, and meaningful change that places our people at the center of progress,” it added.
Moreover, the Chairship also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
Meanwhile, from November 16 (Monday) to November 18 (Wednesday), Manila will be hosting the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
Several ASEAN-related meetings will happen in Metro Manila such as the 16th ASEAN Maritime Forum on November 17 and the 14th Expanded ASEAN Maritime Forum on November 18.
