It also provides direct connection for Filipino travelers with the Pacific destination.
On Thursday, October 1, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that it is resuming nonstop flights between Manila and Saipan this October 25.
The said service was originally launched in March 2026, but was halted due to runway repair works at Saipan International Airport following the onslaught of Typhoon Sinlaku.
“The restored route will strengthen tourism, family, and commercial ties between the Philippines and the Northern Mariana Islands while providing more opportunities for people and communities across the Pacific to reconnect,” said the airline in its press statement.
The airline also confirmed that customers will have a full-service travel experience, including inflight meals, baggage allowance, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality throughout their journey.
Aside from Manila-Saipan, Philippine Airlines also operates flights to other Pacific destinations such as Palau (Kokor), Guam and Honolulu.
As Sapian is a U.S. territory, it is also part of PAL’s network to the United States, joining routes to destinations such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Guam, and Honolulu.
PAL operates scheduled nonstop flights from its hubs in Manila and Cebu to a total of 29 destinations across the Philippines and 40 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
