Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026: Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre and Michael V. lead PH’s list of national winners

On Wednesday, September 30, the Asian Academy Creative Awards officially unveiled the list of national winners for its 2026 edition.

In the Philippines, the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and the People’s President Nadine Lustre were named the Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role for their respective portrayals in Call Me Mother and Love, Siargao.

Meanwhile, Comedy Genius Michael V. was named the national winner for the Best Actor/Actress in a Comedy Role category for Pepito Manaloto.

Mon Confiado rounds out the acting categories as he was named Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Salvageland.

Crossing over to productions on TV, film, and streaming, GMA Network leads the pack with nominations in a total of eleven categories (including Michael V.’s).

Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence also bagged technical awards like Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Screenplay.

The Silent Noise on Prime Video, meanwhile, earned Best Drama Series and Best Direction (Scripted) for Onat Diaz.

  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Mon Confiado (Salvageland)
  • Best Actor/Actress in a Comedy Role: Michael V. (Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kuwento, GMA)
  • Best Actress in a Leading Role: Nadine Lustre (Love, Siargao, Viu)
  • Best Adaptation of an Existing Format (Non-scripted): The Voice Kids 2025 – Grand Finale Episode (GMA)
  • Best Adaptation of an Existing Format (Scripted): It’s Okay To Not Be Okay (ABS-CBN Studios)
  • Best Animation: 58th (GMA)
  • Best Cinematography: Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence by Moises Zee (Rein Entertainment, KC Global Media Asia)
  • Best Comedy: Bubble Gang (GMA)
  • Best Direction (Feature Film): Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo (I’mPerfect, Nathan Studios)
  • Best Direction (Scripted): Onat Diaz (The Silent Noise, ABS-CBN Studios)
  • Best Documentary (One-off): The Atom Araullo Specials: Babymaker (GMA)
  • Best Documentary History: Drawing On Water – The History of the West Philippine Sea (GMA)
  • Best Documentary Series: Reporter’s Notebook: Saving Babies (GMA)
  • Best Drama Series: The Silent Noise (Prime Video)
  • Best Editing: Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence by Lawrence Ang
  • Best Entertainment Host: Rico Hizon (Rated R: The Rico Hizon Podcast, ABS-CBN)
  • Best Factual Presenter: Charms Espina, PTV News Tonight (PTV-4)
  • Best Feature Film: Kontrabida Academy (UxS, Inc. for Netflix)
  • Best Lifestyle Programme: Biyahe Ni Drew: Boracay (GMA)
  • Best Music or Dance Programme: Stars On The Floor (GMA)
  • Best News Programme: Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: School Shooting (GMA)
  • Best Original Production by a Streamer: Love, Siargao (Viu)
  • Best Promo/Trailer: The Master Cutter Launch Trailer (GMA)
  • Best Screenplay: Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence by Jonathan Guillermo and Shugo Praico

The Grand Winners will then be announced during the Gala Night on December 3 at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore.

The AACA was established in Singapore in 2018 by internationally award-winning producer Michael McKay, with representation in 18 territories and recognition spanning 39 categories.

According to the body, its rigorous two-stage judging process combines anonymous peer assessment, strict conflict-of-interest safeguards and independent scrutiny.
