On Monday, September 28 (Manila time), the 2026 Video Music Awards, which is presented by cable music network MTV, took place.
The show was hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg, with the awards show also being a venue for grand musical extravaganza from the likes of Bruno Mars and Warren Zeiders, among others.
Meanwhile, leading this year’s winners’ circle is the one-and-only Queen of Pop, Madonna, who won Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration (with Sabrina Carpenter for Bring Your Love), Best Dance, and Best Cinematography, among others.
Taylor Swift then bagged the coveted Video of the Year for The Fate of Ophelia. She also dedicated the win to the late music icon Dolly Parton.
Asians were also represented by K-pop group BTS, who won Song of the Year and Best K-pop for Swim, and Thai K-pop star Lisa of Blackpink, who clinched the Best Pop award.
