A year after the first batch of awardees was announced.
In an announcement, the Michelin Guide announced that it is naming the second batch of restaurants in the country that will be part of its world-famous food guide.
In this edition, the guide is “looking further afield,” with inspectors having returned to “familiar ground” while extending their search into Manila’s environs.
The Michelin Guide teased that their latest discoveries have pointed them to a “dining scene gaining momentum in intriguing ways,” with thebfull picture coming into focus during the announcement ceremony at Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts in Pasay City on October 29, 2026.
Then, the awardees of the coveted MICHELIN Star, Bib Gourmand, and MICHELIN Selected restaurants will be revealed, together with special awards for “exceptional individuals” in the local dining scene.
Meanwhile, the ceremony will also be livestreamed on the Michelin Guide YouTube channel.
This year’s ceremony also coincides with the 100th year ot the Michelin Star, which was introduced in 1926.
In its inaugural Manila and Environs & Cebu guide, the Michelin Guide recognized 108 establishments—with only one establishment having received a Two-Star rating, eight got One-Star, 25 were given the Bib Gourmand, and 74 were hailed MICHELIN-Selected restaurants.
Earlier in the year, meanwhile, the Michelin Guide recommended 16 food spots all over the globe as part of its Most Exciting Food Destinations for 2026.
Included there was the Philippines, where it called 2026 as an “ideal time to explore the country’s food scene,” with dishes having been recommended by its anonymous inspectors such as sisig, sinigang, inasal, and adobo. The list also highlighted year-round fresh produce in the country.
Aside from the Philippines, countries and places like Italy, Türkiye, China, Saudi Arabia, Florida, Canada, and Poland.
