It is the only Tour de France event that is happening in Southeast Asia.
This November 8, Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium will happen along the vibrant streets of the city center, specifically the scenic Marina Bay and the historic grounds of Padang.
The said event will offer cycling fans in Singapore and the wider region rare access to elite international cycling and world-class riders.
It is headlined by year’s third-place finisher and White Jersey winner Isaac del Toro and fourth-place finisher Paul Seixas, along with returning sprinters Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay.
Del Toro’s breakthrough came at the 2025 Giro d’Italia, where the Mexican finished second overall on his Grand Tour debut and claimed the young rider classification. He carried that form into 2026, finishing third overall at the Tour de France and repeating as young rider champion, aged 22.
Seixas made his own mark at this year’s Tour de France. At 19, he became France’s youngest Tour debutant in 89 years, and finished an impressive fourth-place—joining a select group of French riders to have achieved one of the nation’s best general classification results since Bernard Hinault became the last Frenchman to win the Tour de France in 1985.
The two recently met anew earlier this September at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal, where Del Toro beat Seixas in an enthralling sprint finish, a result read widely as the opening chapter of a new rivalry at the top of the sport.
Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay are expected to reignite their rivalry after they were beaten to the top step of the podium by Italian Jonathan Milan at last year’s Criterium.
Philipsen and Girmay finished second and third respectively in the 2026 Tour de France points classification, with Philipsen’s stage 17 breakaway victory in the Alpine foothills keeping the green jersey race alive deep into the final week of the Tour.
Agnes Goh, Managing Director of Evoke Exp, said: “The caliber of this field reflects where this event now sits within the sport, and the confidence that riders, teams and A.S.O. (Amaury Sport Organisation) have placed in what we have built in Singapore over the past four editions.”
She furthered, “It tells us that riders and teams place real value on coming out to meet their fans in this part of the world, and it speaks to how far the event has come. For fans in Singapore and across the region, it means direct access to world-class competition, and the opportunity to grow their love for the sport by seeing it up close and in person.”
The four riders will make appearances throughout fan activations over the Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium race weekend, including the CEO Breakfast Ride by Capgemini that will also invite business leaders onto the circuit alongside professional riders and event ambassadors in a shared, non-competitive format before the Pro Criterium.
For Capgemini, its Chief Executive Officer Paul Margetts said, “As the Official Technology Partner of the Tour de France, we are bringing our deep expertise in digital innovation, technology and AI into the professional cycling field. Our objective as a global business transformation leader is to leverage technology to deepen engagement with both businesses and communities all over the world.”
For the first time, the event will also introduce an opening parade on Sunday, 8 November, held between the Pro Team Time Trial and the Pro Criterium.
It will feature a motorcade of partner vehicles will travel the full circuit, giving fans a dedicated, premium moment between races to engage directly with event partners.
The format draws on the publicity caravan tradition of the Tour de France in France, where partner vehicles precede the peloton in a festive procession, offering roadside fans an up-close, interactive introduction to event partners before racing resumes.
