Days after the group concluded their activities after their contract, which ran for two-and-a-half, officially ended.
On Saturday, September 26, GLXY Management announced that Filipina K-pop star Gehlee Dangca, who was a member of the project girl group UNIS, is making her return to the country next week.
According to the company’s announcement, the 19-year-old is set to finally settle back in the Philippines after staying for three years in South Korea to promote as part of the eight-member team, which also includes fellow Filipina, Elisia Parmisano.
It was confirmed that Gehlee is set to land in Manila on Tuesday, September 29, and will move forward with a brand new chapter in her career.
It was noted that she is expected to have “local projects, and international activities as she continues to grow her career beyond Korea.”
Gehlee is also expected to continue with Universal Records Philippines as her recording label, while GLXY Talent Management and Star Horizon TV Production will oversee her management in the Philippines.
UNIS was originally formed via the survival-reality show Universe Ticket, which ran from November 2023 until January 2024.
After the show, they immediately made their debut two months later in March 2024 and dropped their first mini-album entitled We Unis.
Since then, they have also released records such as Curious, Swicy, and the Japanese album Uni Sparkle.
Last September 22, F&F Entertainment announced that the group would part ways as their contract with the company formally come to an end.
They would later release their final single under F&F Entertainment, entitled Milky Way, on September 23.
