It is also symbolic as the group is also celebrating nine years of bringing music to millions of people in the country and around the world.
Last Thursday, September 24, Filipino music band Ben&Ben released their latest album entitled Nine, which was dropped in celebration of the band’s ninth anniversary.
The said record features a total of ten songs, with tracks such as the recently released Saranggola, Harinawa, and the namesake 9. Also included are reimagined versions of their past hits such as Maybe The Night, Leaves, and Lifetime, among others.
In a post on their social media page, the band explained what the anthology album is all about.
The band continued, “Gusto sana naming mag grow up din yung mga songs, dahil tayong lahat, maging kayo, aming Liwanag, ay nag-grow up na rin.
As regards to Saranggola, it is a track that reminds the people about friendship and why people should not take it for granted just because they are always beside them.
Everything falls into place,” they furthered.
However, it is also symbolic as the current nine-member team led by brothers Paolo Benjamin Guico and Miguel Benjamin Guico with Poch Barretto, Agnes Reoma, Pat Lasaten, Toni Muñoz, Andrew De Pano, and Keifer Cabugao, will soon see the departure of drummer Jam Villanueva.
Although, they are still set to hold one final major show together, Saranggola: The Concert, which will be held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on October 2, 2026 (Friday).
Ben&Ben is one of this generation’s biggest Filipino music acts, gaining attention not only locally, but also in the international music scene.
Formed in 2016, they are known for their many hit songs such as Araw-Araw and Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay, among many others.
