The movie is set to hit theaters nationwide this October.
Weeks before the Philippine adaptation of the 2013 Thai blockbuster film Pee Mak begins screening in cinemas, the lead stars of the original version have showed their support towards the project top-billed by the tandem of Bea Binena and Wilbert Ross.
Actor Mario Maurer, who played the part of Mak, sent a video greeting that was uploaded by Viva Films.
He said, “Mabuhay, Philippines! Thank you for loving our film, Pee Mak. I want to congratulate Wilbert Ross and the whole cast of the Philippine version of Pee Mak. I know you guys will do great.”
He also invited the public to watch the movie and promised: “I’m sure you’re all gonna have a great time there!”
Meanwhile, actress Mai Davika showed her support by watching the trailer of the film during her livestream with her husband Ter-Chantavit Dhanasevi.
In the clip of the stream uploaded by Viva Artists’ Agency, the couple were seen absorbing the antics in the local version.
Wilbert Ross will play in the Philippine adaptation the character of Mak, while Bea Binene will take on the role of Pee-Nang.
Joining them are comedians Vandolph and TJ Valderrama, actor Jairus Aquino, and introducing Cup of Joe vocalist Gian Bernardino in his first acting stint.
Directed by Victor Villanueva, it was also confirmed that the movie will hit theaters this October 14, 2026.
Pee Mak is the latest project of WilBea, whose team-up was formed through the live-action adaptation of Gwy Saludes’ University Series, which exclusively streamed on over-the-top service Viva One.
In 2025, the installment revolving around their characters Arkin Sanchez (Wilbert) and Via Cruz (Bea), Golden Scenery of Tomorrow, premiered and ran for 22 episodes.
Recently, the duo also top-billed the original series Love U Lots, which premiered on the same platform.
