On Monday, September 21, a ceremonial event was led by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as it unveiled the new eGovAI component of the eGovPH super app.
The said tool, directly integrated into the said ecosystem, was designed to lessen the hassle in doing government transactions, which usually needs citizens to go through multiple steps, submit documents, or interact with different offices to access services.
Thus, in line with the goal of accelerating digitalization, reducing red tape, and use technology to make public services faster, more efficient, and more accessible, the app is now introducing Kuya AI.
Thd AI assistant was designed to provide real-time support to citizens and government agencies by giving them information, navigating government services, and completing digital transactions more conveniently.
For government agencies, it is also touted as one that can help streamline routine processes and improve service delivery.
Furthermore, eGovAI features AI-powered capabilities such as secure identity verification, automated document processing, translation services, and intelligent assistance.
“The eGovAI marked another important step in our continuing effort to make government work better for every Filipino,” said DICT Secretary Henry Aguda. “We are bringing AI into the eGovernment ecosystem not simply as a technological innovation, but as a tool to make public services more responsive, accessible, and efficient.”
The launch also featured the eGovPH Hackathon 2026 Awarding Ceremony, recognizing the Top 30 teams that developed digital solutions supporting government transformation.
