She is back on the program where her illustrious showbusiness career began.
On Saturday, September 19, the TV5 noontime program Eat Bulaga had a special segment dedicated to the iconic girl group SexBomb Girls, which returned to the show for another special set of performances.
The team started their set by singing and dancing to the Christmas-themed single Wish Ko Sa Pasko, which instantly brought feelings of nostalgia and the yuletide season inside the studio and beyond.
After that, a mini-interview segment happened, with the hosts continuing their days-long banter about whether the group’s leader Rochelle Pangilinan will appear on the program.
Pangilinan is currently a contract star of TV5’s rival station GMA Network.
As part of the joke, hosts Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros appeared all dolled up to portray their own versions of “Rochelle.”
But soon enough, the real one arrived and performed her single Baile before having a catch-up chat with the Dabarkads.
The multi-hyphenated artist then took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the program and people in her current home network, who allowed her to make this appearance.
“Maraming maraming salamat po (sa) Eat Bulaga family (at) lagi n’yo po kami ini-invite. Sabi ko nga kanina noong nagre-rehearse kami, sa haba-haba ng prusisyon, sa simbahan din ang tuloy,” she said.
“Dito na po kami (sa Eat Bulaga) lumaki at tumanda,” Rochelle quipped, before thanking the GMA management and her manager for giving the permission for this guesting.
The entire group then performed their newest dance craze entitled Mama Mama live on the Eat Bulaga stage.
The SexBomb Girls are widely considered to be the most popular girl group of the 2000s and was originally formed in 1999 through Eat Bulaga.
Their popularity reached its peak in the early to mid-2000s, as the unit comprising of Rochelle, Jopay, Evette, Weng, Izzy, and Monique released their massively successful singles like The Spaghetti Song, Halukay Ube, and Bakit Papa?, among others.
Moreover, the entire group also had their own television series, Daisy Siete, which still holds the title of being the longest-running daytime drama series in the Philippines, airing from 2003 to 2010.
Since December 2025, the group has been mounting their reunion concert series in the Philippines and several parts of the world to mark the team’s 25th anniversary.
