On Friday, September 18, Rosé of the Korean pop group BLACKPINK unveiled her newest single entitled new trick.
This new song was created as a new garage punk track that saw the K-pop syar reunite with Amy Allen and Andrew Wells, who created her past hit songs Apt and stay a little longer, respectively.
Moreover, the music video for the song was created in collaboration with Apple’s new campaign for its newly released iPhone 18 line, with the clip having been directed by Dave Meyers.
As of this writing, the reel that runs for three minutes and one second has already been viewed more than nine million views on YouTube, as of this writing.
Rosé debuted in the K-pop scene back in 2016 as one of the members of third-generation K-pop group Blackpink, along with Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, under YG Entertainment.
They became well-known in their home country and abroad, thanks to their successive hit songs such as Whistle, Boombayah, Playing with Fire, As If It’s Your Last, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, Pink Venom, and Shut Down, among many others.
In 2021, she made her solo debut upon the release of her extended play titled R, which includes the tracks On The Ground and Gone.
In 2024, she dropped her album Rosie, which carried the tracks like Apt. (featuring Bruno Mars) and toxic till the end.
