Three timeless beauties of Philippine showbiz, as well.
In a post on her social media page, seasoned actress and model Alice Dixson shared an amusing interaction that she recently had with two fellow female celebrities.
Backstage at the recent Superbods 2026 finals night in Quezon City, she was able to not just meet, but also have a good time with Marian Rivera and Anne Curtis.
Coincidentally, they have a common denominator and that is having portrayed the iconic Dyesebel, the mermaid character created by Mars Ravelo.
And to immortalize their encounter, the three ladies joined forces to hop on the Ooh Lala Baby dance craze of the P-pop group Baby Dolls.
As of this writing, the clip has garnered more than 44,000 likes on Alice’s Instagram account.
The character Dyesebel first appeared in comics entitled Pilipino Komiks by Mars Ravelo in 1952.
Since then, it has become one of the most popular characters created by the “King of Pinoy Komiks,” alongside Darna and Captain Barbell.
On television and film, several actresses have been tapped to breathe life to the siren, with the first being Edna Luna, followed by Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, and eventually, Alice Dixson in 1990.
Charlene Gonzales then portrayed the said mermaid in latest movie version that was released in 1996.
Marian Rivera then brought it to a wider world when she played it for the first television adaptation of GMA in 2008, which also served as a precursor to her eventual flight as Darna.
In 2014, following ABS-CBN’s acquisition of rights to the character, alongside other titles in Mars Ravelo universe, the role of Dyesebel was given to Anne Curtis—which remains to be the most recent iteration of the character.
