It will be the country’s first time to host the said pageant.
On Thursday, September 10, Arnold Vegafria, through his company ALV Pageant Circle, disclosed that an international pageant will be hosted by the country later this year.
The talent manager and pageant franchise owner revealed that their camp has reached a partnership with the Malaysia-based pageant Miss Tourism International to allow the said pageant to be hosted in the Philippines for the first time.
“We officially announce our partnership with Miss Tourism International, which aligns with ALV Pageant Circle’s advocacy for tourism promotion,” said Vegafria.
““We are very excited to announce that we have signed a contract with Miss Tourism International. And what better way to celebrate this strategic alliance than by hosting the 30th edition of the globally acclaimed pageant, which also marks the very first time that it will be held in the country,” he also said.
Michelle Arceo is set to participate in the said edition of the pageant. She is the third in a year to be given the national title, which was caused by a number of changes within the local pageantry circuit.
Originally, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2025 Andrea Endicio was supposed to be the representative, but that was scrapped after the franchise transitioned to ALV Pageant Circle.
Jayvee Lyn Lorejo, who then competed in the Miss World Philippines pageant last January, was then awarded the title. But once again, that plan was nixed and the representation was formally bestowed to Arceo.
The Miss Tourism International 2026 is set to finally take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on December 16, with additional information set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
