A year after their successful 10th anniversary comeback.
Last Friday, August 4, Korean pop group MONSTA X made their comeback with the release of their latest extended play.
Entitled The Phase, the said record carries a total of six tracks, including the title track called MAGIC.
Concurrent with the mini-album’s release, the music video for the said song was also unveiled on the same day.
The three-minute-and-eight-second-long clip has since amassed more than 5 million views on YouTube, over a week since it was published.
Also part of the mini-album are the songs Type X, SURVIVOR, Electric Heart, That’s My Girl; and Sweet Night, Sweet Morning.
In this comeback, however, only five members, namely Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Joohoney are present, as the band’s youngest member I.M. is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service.
Last year, also in September, the team celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of their album entitled The X.
Originally launched through the survival show No Mercy in 2015, they became known in the K-pop world as beast idols, thanks to their strong masculine concepts and imaging.
Some of their most-popular singles are DRAMARAMA, Jealousy, Shoot Out, Alligator, and Find You.
