It is the powerhouse collaboration between two Philippine media giants and the global streaming platform.
Om Friday, September 11, the family drama-suspense series Honor Thy Mother will make its premiere on streaming giant Prime Video.
A production of ABS-CBN Studios, Dreamscape Entertainment, and GMA Network, the series is top-billed by Sharon Cuneta and Barbie Forteza.
It will run for a total of 14 episodes and will also star John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, Khalil Ramos, Mercedes Cabral, RK Bagatsing, and Criza Taa.
Teaming up to helm the series are Onat Diaz known, who previously directed Dirty Linen in 2023 and The Alibi in 2025, and Dolly Dulu, who did Saving Grace in 2024.
The story, according to ABS-CBN, follows a powerful businesswoman (Sharon Cuneta) whose carefully ordered life is disrupted when a determined young woman (Barbie Forteza) uncovers a life-changing truth about herself: that she is Cuneta’s long-lost daughter.
“As they reconnect after years apart, mother and daughter must confront family secrets, ambition, and the consequences of the past in this drama series,” it further read.
Honor Thy Mother will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in the Philippines and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Prior to this series, the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks most recently worked together on the mystery-thriller The Secrets Of Hotel 88, which featured the housemates of the first Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab season.
Moreover, Honor Thy Mother is also one of the local shows that will stream on Prime Video this year, a slate that includes ABS-CBN’s The Loyalty Game and Kopino and GMA’s Behind Closed Doors.
