More than eight months after its last broadcast on the station.
This Sunday, September 13, the weekly newsmagazine program Rated Korina of seasoned broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez will officially make its return to TV5.
The program, which is co-produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Sanchez-Roxas’ own production company, will be airing on a simultaneous basis at 3:30 pm on the Kapatid and Kapamilya platforms such as ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Channel on linear television.
The said move is part of the re-expanding partnership between the Kapamilya and Kapatid networks, which resumed in June after a brief five-month halt after a publicized internal issue between both parties in late 2025 that led to the termination of their earlier five-year-long deal.
It will join the slate of shows already airing on both networks that include Coco Martin’s Sigabo, Someone, Someday, A Secret In Prague, My Bespren Emman, and the Korina Sanchez-Roxas’ weekday morning talk show Face To Face With Ate Koring.
This will also mark Rated Korina’s return to its former home, where the newsmagazine show that started as a co-production between Brightlight Productions and Korina’s own outfit, Viktory8 Media, aired from October 2020.
In June 2021, Rated Korina was brought “home” when Brightlight entered into a partnership with ABS-CBN, which produced Balitang K and Rated K, to carry the newsmagazine program on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z.
In 2023, ABS-CBN Studios would take over from Brightlight as a co-producer and would maintain the show on the three TV channels.
However, following the termination of the said supposed five-year-deal between ABS-CBN and TV5 in January 2026, Rated Korina aired the last episode of its original run on the Kapatid network in December 2025.
At that time, Korina remained visible on TV5 as host of what was then Face To Face: Harapan, which eventually became Face To Face With Ate Koring.
At the Tara, Kapatid media and trade launch event in August, Sanchez-Roxas personally delivered a special news for viewers and noted that the launch also comes amid a special milestone for her and the program.
This year, she celebrates her 30th anniversary in doing the newsmagazine format that began with Balitang K in 1996, which was followed by Rated K in 2004.
“30 years of telling extraordinary stories. Dahil ang ginto talaga sa bawat kuwento ng ordinaryong Pilipino is extraordinary,” she noted. “Napakaraming nakukuhang kuwento! At hangga’t may kuwentong Pinoy, nandiyan ang Rated Korina.”
