Reigning Miss Universe Fatima Bosch responds to Nawat Itsaragrisil’s claims

She has directly addressed the matter.

In a statement posted on her Instagram account last Sunday, August 23 (Manila time), Mexican beauty queen Fatima Bosch, the reigning Miss Universe, responded to the post that Thai pageant owner Nawat Itsaragrisil made the day prior.

He claimed that Bosch is being subjected to a supposed arrest warrant in connection with a case involving “defamation, false allegations, and dissemination of false information,” which are, he said, all supported by clear evidence.

However, Itsaragrisil did not elaborate any further regarding the matters of the case.

In response to that, the beauty queen expressed in her statement, which she originally wrote in Spanish: “Today it’s my turn to tell this story: My wish is that no woman will have live through it tomorrow.

The current Miss Universe said that it is “deeply troubling” for a woman in the 21st century to face attempts at intimidation “for simply raising her voice, setting boundaries, and demanding to be treated with dignity and respect.”

I do not regret standing up for myself that day,” she emphasized.

Although it continues to have repercussions months later, if there is one thing I want other women to learn from my story, it is this: standing up for your dignity should never be a reason to be afraid,” Bosch added.

She also told that no threat should make women back down in the “fight for a world where women can raise their voices without fear of retaliation.”

“The whole world saw what happened that day. It was all recorded. There is nothing more to say,” the beauty queen concluded her statement.

It can be recalled that the Thai businessman and the Mexican beauty queen were embroiled in a controversy in the lead up to the 2025 Miss Universe competition that was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The faction of the Miss Universe Organization led by Raul Rocha Cantu has also issued a statement supporting Bosch.
