The K-pop legends showed support to their fellow icons.
Last Friday, August 21, the XX: COSMOS 20th anniversary concert tour of the Korean pop icons BigBang officially kicked off with a three-day show at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea.
Apart from thousands of VIPs coming over to show their love for their favorite band, which is now a trio composed of Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, many celebrities also came to support their peer.
Among them are the members of the second-generation girl group 2NE1, namely Dara, CL, and Minzy, who came in full force for their contemporaries.
In a post shared by Dara, she attached images of her with the other two 2NE1 stars, as well as their group pictures with BigBang.
The said post has sinfe garnered more than 290,000 likes on Instagram, with fans can’t help but gush over the interaction between their idols. Some also noted feeling nostalgic, as it suddenly felt as if it was the early 2010s once again.
BigBang made its debut in 2006. Originally a five-member group, T.O.P. and Seungri, the team cemented its legacy with a string of hit songs they released over the years.
The list includes Lies, Haru Haru, Tonight, Love Song, Bad Boy, Fantastic Baby, Monster, Loser, Bae Bae, Bang Bang, and FXXK IT, among many others.
Manila has also been announced as a stop of the XX: COSMOS tour, with the show confirmed to be taking place on February 20, 2027 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Aseana, Parañaque City.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 was launched in 2009 and went on to become one of the most prominent female groups in the K-pop scene, having cemented their popularity through the successive hit songs like Fire, I Don’t Care, I Am The Best, I Love You, Falling In Love, and Come Back Home, among others.
