Walang Pasok: Class suspensions on August 14, 2026 (Friday)

The following local government units have decided to cancel or move classes to other setups such as online or modular due to effects of the monsoon rains (Habagat) across a number of areas in Luzon on Friday, August 14.

For announcements indicating no face-to-face classes, learning at the affected levels will proceed through alternative modalities.

UPDATE AS OF 12:00 NN

According to Memorandum Circular No. 126, which came out following the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Heavy Rainfall Warnings issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by with the Southwest Monsoon, government offices have been directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the following areas: National Capital Region, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, and Occidental Mindoro.

Meanwhile, unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

The government noted that agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services will continue their operations and render the necessary services.

In addition, localized cancellation or suspension of classes and/or work in government offices in other areas not covered by may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives, pursuant to relevant laws, rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
