Days after the station suddenly went into full automation mode, which prompted loyal listeners and fans to express their concern.
Since Saturday, August 8, popular FM radio station 90.7 Love Radio in Mega Manila began uploading posters on its social media accounts to announce its new programming lineup.
It can be recalled that the station, which ranks number 2 in the region according to AGB Nielsen Philippines eRAM, suddenly shifted into full automation mode last Monday, August 3. On the same day, its roster of DJs also uploaded a video message thanking their listeners.
Initially, that prompted a mix of concerns and speculations, with some expressing that it might be the end of Love Radio’s long-running “masa” format, while others noted the challenge posed by alternative mediums like podcasts and streaming platforms to the model.
Nonetheless, 90.7 went back to air with the same personalities, led by station manager Nicole Hyala, as well as Raqi Terra, Tanya Chinita, Diego Bandido and more, but now on their new assignments.
On weekdays, the morning block is led by Bulovebog at 4:00 am, followed by Tambalan with Nicole Hyala and Diego Bandido at 6:00 am, and Dear Love with Conyo Bicolano at 9:00 am.
The afternoon to evening blocks, meanwhile, start with Raqi Tera’s Secret Files and Top Secret at 12:00 noon, Love Trip with Kim Chino at 3:00 pm, Playbook with Mara Tonee at 6:00 pm and Mga Katas Ng Nakalipas at 9:00 pm.
Every Saturday, the schedule was also rejigged with Hugot airing from 6:00 to 10:00 am, Love Radio Hitlist from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Dear Love Fourplay from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Retro Sabado from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Love Jam from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Meanwhile, Sunday Golden Morning kicks off the Sunday block and airs from 4:00 to 7:00 am, followed by Retro-oke from 7:00 to 11:00 am, Flashback from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Sunday Takeaway from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Playbook from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Love Radio started broadcasting in 1975 and became one of the top-rating stations through its easy listening format as DZMB. It would later shift to its “masa” that mixes the contemporary MOR and OPM music with talk segments in 2000.
It is owned by the MBC Media Group, which also owns other radio networks such as Yes FM on 101.1, Easy Rock on 96.3, DZRH on 666 kHz on the AM band, as well as more stations around the country.
