With viewers given a peek into the intriguing dynamics between its two lead stars.
On Tuesday, August 11, ABS-CBN Studios, its production unit Dreamscape Entertainment, GMA Network, and streaming platform Prime Video jointly unveiled the official poster for the latest collaboration between the media giants.
It is for the series Honor Thy Mother, which is top-billed by the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza—who are both prominently featured in the material.
“Two generations. One fight for legacy.” That is how the story was described, with the “fiery tale” set to unfold starting September 11 on Prime Video.
Apart from the poster, viewers were also given a look into stills of some scenes that will be seen in the series, which also stars Khalil Ramos, John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, and Mercedes Cabral.
Honor Thy Mother adds to the long list of collaborations between erstwhile rivals ABS-CBN and GMA Network, as they have teamed up previously for Unbreak My Heart, the movie Hello, Love, Again, and the back-to-back seasons of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.
At present, the partnership is also active, with the simulcast of the Kapamilya noontime program It’s Showtime.
Prior to Honor Thy Mother, both networks also worked together in the mystery-thriller The Secrets Of Hotel 88, which featured the housemates of the first PBB Celebrity Collab season.
Moreover, Honor Thy Mother is also one of the local shows that will stream on Prime Video this year, a slate that includes ABS-CBN’s The Loyalty Game and Kopino and GMA’s Behind Closed Doors.
