They are the latest love team to dive into the emerging storytelling format.
On Wednesday, August 5, ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant announced that the tandem of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, also known as FranSeth, will be starring in a new project for the platform.
The two, who were recently part of the primetime action series Sins of the Father and the movie She Who Must Not Be Named, are reuniting on the vertical screen for the new microdrama series entitled A Cake To Remember.
The said series will be produced by JRB Creative Production and directed by Emerald Silvestre. The first part, comprising the early half of the story, will be released on August 28.
The said series is the latest microdrama of ABS-CBN Studios, which released in recent months the hit vertical serials led by the viral hit The Chambermaid’s Daughter starring Gelo Rivera and Alexa Ilacad, followed by Twist Of Fate of Yen Santos, Rafael Rosell, Tony Labrusca, and Angelica Lao, and the rom-com Will You Fake Marry Me? of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith.
A Cake To Remember is also one of the upcoming programs on iWant this August, with the slate including The Angeline Quinto Show and the fourth season of the ABS-CBN News digital original series Philippines’ Most Shocking Stories.
Francine and Seth first starred together in the afternoon soap opera Kadenang Ginto, which led to their inclusion in The Gold Squad in 2019.
While being paired with their previous partners, the two worked together anew in the inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba in 2021.
In 2023, they were formally launched as FranSeth through the revenge-drama Dirty Linen and served as hosts of the filler noontime show It’s Your Lucky Day later that same year.
They also made their big screen debut in 2024 through the Metro Manila Film Festival entry My Future You.
