Bringing the fun and carefree vibe of his character this summer season.
On Monday, August 3, Pi Cheolin, the alter ego of Dino, member of the K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN, was finally released his solo debut.
The singer’s character, who has the persona of a producer and CEO of the fictional Korean entertainment company, BOMG, dropped his first extended play entitled 吉BOARD (Gilboard).
Serving as the title track of the said mini-album is the song Party Rock Rock (놀아보세), which was produced by Hitchhiker and Pledis Entertainment CEO Han Sungsoo.
Accompanying the said song is a playful and comedic music video that runs for two minutes and 42 seconds and has already garnered over 100,000 views as of this writing.
Other songs that are part of this album are Zzan, Sincerely, Mi-cheo Mi-cheo, Love Sick, For Jeong and Love, and LIKE IT, which is released under the singer’s actual stage name Dino.
Pi Cheolin was first witnessed in SEVENTEEN’s various content, including his debut during the group’s 2021 fan meeting.
According to a report by Billboard Philippines, whose main U.S. based publication’s charts is being referenced in the title, the EP pays homage to Korean street music ranking culture.
During which, vendors were notoriously blasting out the hottest music in the streets to sell bootleg cassette tapes.
Dino debuted in 2015, along with the rest of the band, which is known for popular songs like Pretty U, Aju Nice, Don’t Wanna Cry, Clap, Oh My, Home, Hit, Fear, Left and Right, Home; Run, Ready To Love, Hot, and Super, among others.
In May 2025, in celebration of their 10th anniversary, the team released the album entitled Happy Burstday, which carries the lead single Thunder.
