On Sunday, July 26, the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) dropped the news that the P-pop Kings SB19 have been officially appointed as the country’s new Tourism Ambassadors.

In the announcement, the humble beginnings of the group, which is composed of members Josh, Stell, Pablo, Felip, and Justin, was mentioned and their growth to becoming one of the biggest music acts not just in the Philippines, but also in Southeast Asia.

From their homegrown beginnings to global stages, SB19 and A’TIN continue to show just how far Filipino pride can go,” the Tourism Department shared.

They also highlighted their duties as Tourism Ambassadors and told, “Now, they’re inviting their global community to come closer to home and experience the Philippines culture, cuisine, heritage, destinations, and the unmistakable warmth of Filipino homecoming.

The DOT also added, “Now, let’s show the world what makes the Philippines worth coming home to.”

The announcement comes days before the band’s historic debut at Lollapalooza 2026 in Chicago, Illinois, where they are the first homegrown artists from the Philippines to earn a spot in the said major music event. SB19 is set to perform on July 30 (local time, July 31 in Manila).

In addition, the P-pop Kings will also be performing at the Grammy Museum as part of the Global Spin Live series and will also be throwing the ceremonial first pitch during the Major League Baseball (MLB) game of the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.

SB19 is known for their hit singles such as Go Up, Alab, MAPA, GENTO, DAMDungka, and more. Earlier in 2026, the group released their album, Wakas At Simula, which is led by the single Visa that debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

They also held one of the biggest solo concerts in the Philippines of the year when they held their one-night-only Wakas At Simula trilogy finale tour last April in Parañaque City.
