Two new queens will represent the country in future pageants.

On Saturday, July 18, the months-long process of selecting the next queens of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant culminated with the grand coronation event held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

A total of 35 candidates hailing from around the country competed for the two crowns at stake: the Bb. Pilipinas – International and Bb. Pilipinas – Globe. The winners are taking over the national title from the Philippines’ representative to the Miss International 2026 pageant, Katrina Johnson, and The Miss Globe 2026 Top 11 finisher Annabelle McDonnell.

Selecting the winners for this year is the panel of judges led by Senator Risa Hontiveros as the chairperson, along with Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman, The Miss Globe 2025 Chayathanus Saradatta, actress Janine Gutierrez, and more.

In the end, two queens emerged victorious. They are Gwendoline Soriano from Baguio Cut and Sasha Lacuna of Tarlac.

Soriano was bestowed the Bb. Pilipinas – International title and will compete in the said competition in 2027, while Lacuna will represent the country as Bb. Pilipinas – Globe in The Miss Globe 2026.

Soriano also bagged multiple special awards such as Best Evening Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Bb. Philippine Airlines, Bb. Urban Smiles, and Miss SnowCaps Radiance.

In the question-and-answer round, the Top 4 candidates were given the question: “What future do you envision for yourself, and how will the Binibining Pilipinas title help you get to that destination?”

My ambition [is] to be an aspirational leader, and with a Binibini crown, hopefully, I get to inspire other people to believe in the beauty of their dreams and to be faithful,” replied the newly-minted Bb. Pilipinas – International.

She continued, “I am here now, not because of my own strength, not because of my own beauty and skills, but only by the grace of God. And I am here to share that hope, that message, that hopefully, even after this, and beyond the crown, I will be remembered as someone who has a big faith and a big heart.”

Meanwhile, the country’s next The Miss Globe representative responded, “The values of Binibining Pilipinas is all about charity work. It’s all about serving the Filipino people, and my life’s purpose is to put myself in situations of inconvenience in order to be of service to the Filipino people.

She added, “And Binibining Pilipinas is already set on that legacy. And I stepped into this pageant, in order to be a vessel, to be part of that legacy, and continue up with the work of the organization.

Meanwhile, Julianne Raine Antonio of Dumaguete was named first runner-up, while Tracy Mae Sunio is the second runner-up.
