Her mysterious character is described as a “wildflower” that will be pivotal to the entire story.
Her Majasty, Maja Salvador, is making her comeback to primetime as she is set to star alongside Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid in the new ABS-CBN series Someone, Someday.
In the past days, viewers have been given a glimpse of her character named Abi Mercado, who will start as a “number one fan” of Kathryn’s Billy.
However, a dark layer into her character was also revealed as the caring daughter gets abused by her own parent, which would see her deep admiration become an obssession and put her as an enemy of her very own idol.
In one of the teasers that were released, Abi and Billy even got into an intense confrontation at the office.
During her recent media conference on Frida, July 17, Maja shared the reason behind her decision to take on the challenge of doing Abi.
“Alam kong I’m home. There are many reasons why I accepted this project and isa na doon ang gusto kong makatrabaho sina Kathryn and James. Isa itong napakagandang role,” shared Maja.
She also revealed there that all her projects now are with ABS-CBN, seemingly hinting other works from her in the foreseeable future.
Someone, Someday marks Maja’s return to primetime after making a special participation in The Iron Heart in 2022.
Prior to which, she was also seen on suspense-Gothic horror The Killer Bride in 2019 and the TV5 inspirational drama Niña Niño in 2021.
Aside from Maja, Kathryn, and James, also part of the drama series are Dimples Romana, Rowell Santiago, Rita Avila, McCoy De Leon, Daniela Stranner, and introducing Migz Casimiro.
It is directed by Chad V. Vidanes and Dolly Dulu.
Someone, Someday will air starting July 27 at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook.
Episodes will also stream first on Netflix beginning July 24 and on iWant on July 25, with the showwil also available abroad via The Filipino Channel (TFC).
